ABSTRACT SUBMISSION/ GENERAL INFORMATION

  • The abstract submission starts on January 24th, 2008.
  • The abstract submission deadline expires on September 19th, 2008.
  • Abstracts submitted for the 2nd International Symmetria Meeting can be submitted by e-mail and online.
  • The Scientific Committee of the Congress will decide upon the presentation type of each abstract (oral or poster).
  • Presenting authors will be informed about the status of their abstract (accepted/rejected), its presentation type, date and time by October 7th, 2008.
  • All accepted abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts of the 2nd International Symmetria Meeting.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
A. Format 

  1. Language: English
  2. The abstract should not exceed 250 words. (Names and affiliation details not included) The font must be "Tahoma" size 10 cpi and fully justified Spacing between the title, the author(s), author's affiliation and the abstract text: single
  3. Abstract title typed in UPPER CASE
  4. Authors' names should be typed in title case, the first name preceding the last name (written in full)
  5. The Family name(s) of the author(s) should be written in lower case preceded by the first name(s) of the author(s) written in full.
  6. The presenting author's name must be written in bold. (i.e John Smith)
  7. Authors' affiliation(s), city and country should be typed in title case. Authors' names should feature in ascending order corresponding to their affiliation(s):
    e.g. John Smith 1, Bower Jack 2
    1. King's College Hospital, London
    2. Kaiser Medical Center, San Francisco, California, USA
  8. The abstract should be divided in the following sections (the titles being typed in lower case and in bold): Introduction - Purpose - Material - Methods - Results - Conclusions.
  9. The text may include standard abbreviations, tables, diagrams and photographs, as long as they remain within the page margins and the total amount of words does not exceed the abovementioned limit (250 words).
  10. Changes, additions or corrections will not be accepted after the abstract submission.
  11. Abstracts having insufficient data or including phrases such as "the conclusions are to be discussed" or "the evidence will be presented" etc. will not be accepted.
  12. The topic as well as the desired presentation type, oral or poster presentation should be selected in the abstract submission form.

B. Submission

  • Via e-mail: Auhtors may send the abstract to the e-mail address symmetria-scient@acnc.gr attaching:
    a) the abstract submission form duly completed and
    b) the abstract in Microsoft Office Word format following the instructions given above.
  • On-line: Authors may submit their abstract online by clicking HERE and completing all required fields. Should you encounter any difficulties in submitting your abstract on-line, please do not hesitate to contact the Meeting Organiser at symmetria-scient@acnc.gr.

Abstracts submitted via fax will NOT be accepted.
